Ingredients
-
Bananas (firm, ripe)
-
Peanut Butter (natural, no added sugar)
-
Melted Chocolate (dark, milk, or dairy-free)
Instructions
-
Slice the bananas into rounds approximately 3/8″ to 1/2″ thick.
-
Spread a good layer of peanut butter onto one banana slice, then top with another slice to form a sandwich.
-
Place all banana sandwiches on a parchment-lined tray and freeze until firm (about 45 minutes).
-
While the bites are freezing, melt your preferred chocolate until smooth. Allow it to cool slightly.
-
Remove banana bites from the freezer. Using a toothpick, dip each sandwich into the melted chocolate until fully coated.
-
Place coated bites onto a fresh parchment-lined tray.
-
Freeze again until the chocolate is completely set (at least 30 minutes).
-
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
-
Use almond or sunflower seed butter if peanut allergies are a concern.
-
For extra crunch, roll freshly coated bites in crushed nuts or seeds.
-
Let them sit for 2–3 minutes at room temperature before serving if preferred softer.
