Kids and adults will love designing spooky faces using cheese and olives — a playful twist that turns simple pizzas into festive treats.

  • Total Time: 23 minutes
  • Yield: 6 mini pizzas 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes, drained

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon white apple vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 3 (10-inch) flour tortillas

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese

  • 1 slice cheddar cheese

  • 4 large black olives

  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce

  • 2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Drain the canned whole tomatoes and place them in a saucepan. Add minced garlic, olive oil, apple vinegar, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool.

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Brush both sides of the tortillas with olive oil and bake for 3 minutes until slightly firm.

  • Spread a thin layer of prepared tomato sauce over each tortilla.

  • Cut ghost, pumpkin, or monster shapes from mozzarella and cheddar cheese slices. Arrange them on top of the sauce.

  • Slice black olives to create eyes, mouths, or spider legs. Add them over the cheese.

  • Sprinkle a bit of shredded mozzarella for extra cheesiness.

  • Bake again for 5 to 8 minutes, until cheese melts and tortillas are crisp around the edges.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm and enjoy your spooky creations!

Notes

  • You can use store-bought pizza sauce for convenience.

  • To make it vegetarian, choose plant-based cheese.

  • For extra color, add sliced bell peppers or sweet corn.

  • Kids love decorating their own pizzas — make it a fun group activity.
