Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 cup mayonnaise
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 cup breadcrumbs
-
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil to prevent sticking.
-
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
-
Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
-
Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over each chicken breast, ensuring complete coverage.
-
Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the coated chicken.
-
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
-
Remove the dish from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
-
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
-
For extra crunch, you may use panko breadcrumbs.
-
You can substitute chicken thighs for a juicier result, but they may need additional baking time.
-
For a lighter sauce, replace part of the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
-
Resting the chicken helps maintain juiciness.
