This Halloween Chocolate Spiderweb Tart is a stunning, no-bake dessert that combines a crunchy Oreo crust with a silky chocolate filling. Topped with a beautiful white chocolate spiderweb and tiny edible chocolate spiders, it’s the perfect showstopper for your Halloween dessert table.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup dark chocolate, melted

  • 5 chocolate-covered almonds (for spiders)

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped

  • 1 cup milk chocolate, chopped

  • 1 cup heavy cream (see notes)

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, chilled

  • 1 cup white cooking chocolate, chopped

  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust: Crush 24 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Melt ⅓ cup butter, mix it with the crumbs, and press firmly into a tart pan. Chill for 20 minutes.

  • Make the Filling: Heat 1 cup heavy cream until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add dark and milk chocolate. Stir until smooth. Add ¼ cup chilled butter and mix until glossy. Pour over the crust and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.

  • Decorate with the Spiderweb: Heat ⅓ cup heavy cream and pour it over 1 cup chopped white chocolate. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened. Pipe concentric circles over the tart, then drag a toothpick through to form a spiderweb design.

  • Create the Spiders: Use chocolate-covered almonds as bodies. Draw legs with melted dark chocolate on parchment paper. Let them set in the fridge, then place on the tart.

  • Chill and Serve: Refrigerate again for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for a richer taste.

  • If your white chocolate is too runny for piping, let it cool slightly before decorating.

  • You can replace Oreos with graham crackers or digestive biscuits.

  • For a dairy-free option, substitute butter with vegan margarine and cream with coconut cream.
