- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 links chicken sausage (about 8 oz), sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the orzo in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the sliced chicken sausage for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add heavy cream, stirring constantly until it simmers. Gradually mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the chicken sausage to the skillet and stir in fresh spinach until wilted.
- Mix in the cooked orzo, tossing gently to coat everything with the creamy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
