- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for dough)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring warm water, vegetable oil, and 2 tbsp sugar to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour and baking powder until well combined.
- Allow the dough to cool slightly before transferring it into a piping bag with a star nozzle. Pipe small bites onto parchment paper or directly into hot oil.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
- Drop churro bites into hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
- While warm, roll each churro bite in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Enjoy warm on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce.
