- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, sliced strawberries, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Spread the mixture between two slices of bread to form a sandwich.
- Beat the egg in a separate bowl for an egg wash.
- Dip each sandwich in the egg wash, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
