  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter, add a spoonful of cream cheese filling on top, then cover with more batter until three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
