This Throwing Up Pumpkin Guacamole is the ultimate Halloween party appetizer that combines humor and taste. A small carved pumpkin “throws up” creamy guacamole onto a platter surrounded by crunchy tortilla chips. It’s easy, fast, and always a party favorite.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 platter 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small pumpkin (about 56 inches tall)

  • 1 bag tortilla chips

  • Guacamole (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  • Wash the pumpkin, cut off the top, and scoop out all the seeds and pulp. Discard the insides.

  • Carve two small triangle eyes and a round mouth near the lower part of the pumpkin’s face.

  • Place the cleaned and carved pumpkin on one side of a large serving tray.

  • Spoon guacamole through the mouth of the pumpkin, spreading it down the middle of the tray to create the “throwing up” effect.

  • Arrange tortilla chips neatly around the guacamole path for dipping.

  • Keep chilled until ready to serve. Enjoy the laughter and the delicious snack!

Notes

  • For extra freshness, add lime juice to your guacamole.

  • You can decorate the platter with small Halloween props for a spooky look.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one day.

  • If you prefer, replace the pumpkin with a bell pepper or a small squash.
