This refreshing watermelon lemonade is my go-to drink for warm days. With fresh, sweet watermelon blended into tangy lemon juice and balanced with just the right amount of sugar, it’s a hydrating treat everyone loves. Easy to make and crowd-pleasing, this drink is naturally vibrant and perfect for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups cubed seedless watermelon (chilled, about 2 lbs after peeling)

  • 4 cups cold water

  • 3/4 cup fresh strained lemon juice (chilled)

  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

  • Ice and fresh mint for serving

Instructions

  • Place the cubed watermelon in a blender and blend until smooth. You should get about 4 cups of puree.

  • Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl to remove the pulp.

  • In a large pitcher, combine cold water, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir thoroughly until the sugar dissolves completely.

  • Add the strained watermelon juice to the pitcher and stir to blend evenly.

  • Add ice cubes and fresh mint leaves to the pitcher or directly into individual glasses.

  • Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. If ingredients were not chilled, replace part of the water with additional ice to maintain a cold temperature.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar and lemon to taste for desired sweetness or tartness.

  • For a sparkling version, substitute still water with sparkling water and add it right before serving.

  • Use frozen watermelon cubes instead of ice for a chilled, slushie-like texture.

  • Best enjoyed within 2–3 days if stored in the refrigerator.
